Moortor Design Ltd. is a new print and web design firm based in Liskeard in South East Cornwall. Founded by Dave Dean, the company has grown out of his 10+ years in the graphic design and web design industry.
Dave trained as a Graphic Designer and as such, has a solid background in print design and production. He was always a bona fide geek though and was veering off into the newly fledged world of website design and development when the internet was still in nappies, when Compuserve and AOL were the only choices of ISP and when the <blink> tag was considered 'cool'.
Dave went on to work as a freelancer and as the in-house designer and web developer for a national drinks manufacturer (Drinkmaster), a company he still works closely with today.
Over a decade later, a couple of versions of HTML and CSS further down the line and more than one programming language learnt and then discarded, he's still designing and developing for the web. And with the pace of change in the industry, he's still learning new tricks every day.
Dave is a graphic design and front-end coding specialist but also an avid Ruby on Rails programmer - meaning he can offer the full gamut of visual design, conversion to HTML / CSS / JavaScript and back-end programming. He works closely with a pool of carefully selected print and technology partners to provide a one-stop-shop for branding, graphic design, web design, web development and online marketing to businesses in Cornwall, Devon and the South West.
